We provide individual counseling services to children, teens, and adults. The journey of life is at times difficult. The counselor is a person to help you navigate through your life’s journey to create the life you want to live and be the person you want to be. Individual counseling is a one on one setting, either in person or virtually, with yourself and a counselor. Individual counseling sessions are provided for various issues such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, life changing events, stress, anger, substance abuse, grief, trauma both past and present, and many other daily life issues. Our counselors are trained in different modalities such as EMDR, Trauma Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Individual counseling is about the client. It is a collaborative effort to help the client reach the life goals they have set for themselves.
Children, Adolescents, & Teens
We work with ages 5-17 to develop social skills within a safe, learning environment. We counsel children and youth having difficulty with self-esteem issues, peer pressure, identity issues, relationships, self-worth, social media, and other issues teens face on a daily basis. We have designed activities that promote social awareness.
We work with adult clients (ages 18 and over) to better deal with life stressors, relationship issues, financial issues, and stages of life issues. We work with them to find the balance in their lives, to promote self care, and to help them find their own happiness and joy.
Trauma Focused Therapy
We work with clients to process through past traumas. We assist children and adults experiencing symptoms of trauma such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and emotional dysregulation. Our goal is to provide positive approaches for coping with emotions, identifying distorted thinking patterns, and dealing with normal stressors occurring in everyday life. We use different methods such as EMDR, CBT, DBT, and play therapy.
