About Freedom Reins
Our History
We opened our doors April 2013. We have provided counseling to hundreds of people, including services at a reduced rate or pro bono. We have trained numerous graduate students and counseling associates.
We have collaborated with Gatesville ISD, China Spring ISD, emergency shelters, group homes, child advocacy centers, residential treatment centers, city officials, victims of crime units, Hill Country Community Action Association, Lamar University, Tarleton University, and University of Mary Hardin Baylor. We have provided backpacks and school supplies to students at local school districts, sponsored local little leagues, and provided mental health information to local agencies.
We have graduate students, Licensed Professional Counselor – Associates, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Professional Counselors within our group. This facility started as a way to help people with the gifts we were given and we continue to provide counseling services to people who may not otherwise receive them.

Our partners
Freedom Reins Counseling partners with several non-profit entities. We are the mental health consultant for Hill Country Community Action Association. HCCAA provides educational opportunities and resources to low-income children and their families. We provide services to centers in Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Bosque, Limestone, Freestone, San Saba, Mills, Llano, Mason, and Lampasas counties. We provide school based counseling services to students at China Spring ISD and Gatesville ISD. We have worked with each district for approximately 4 years. Families are able to contact the counselors at each campus and request services. Graduate students and licensed counselors provide services within the schools which reduce the need for parents to miss work and students to miss additional class time getting back and forth to counseling appointments. We partner with Trinity Home of Faith, providing individual and group counseling services to the girls during their temporary stay at the home.
